70th Birthday Card

Today is a 70th birthday card I've made using handmade papers. Firstly I have used an A5 card in landscape orientation with fancy edging. You can do fancy edging with scissors, punches, decorative ruler, die cutting or cutting system.

I cut some handmade paper with silver swirls within it and mounted onto a white piece of card and then onto the card base itself. Next I used a sentiment topper with silver writing and mounted it onto a piece of peach card. I tied a piece of peach ribbon around the centre of the card and finishing with a bow on the left side of the card. I then finished off with a number 70 peeloff.

The peach colour I chose could be any colour to match your preferred colour scheme.

So I'm off to watch some more Olympics. I just can't get enough. Sad maybe but very true. Happy crafting

Well it's finally here - the Olympics.  I have been on countdown for months. 16 days of sport. Today is archery.

Anyway back to crafting matters. I have attached another card I have made using two docrafts  ranges.

I used an A6 card in landscape orientation. I used a decorative cut on the edges just to give the card a nice edge.

I then used some backing paper from the Wellington collection along with two toppers.

I used an 'envelope flap' and flowers from the Linen Capsule range with a brad in the middle of the two flowers.

I finished off with three gems on the bottom left and top right of the card. Under the flap is a section where a sentiment is hidden.

So here's a card I made recently using Docrafts products - Wellington papers and toppers.
I used an Xcut decorative ruler to tear 4 different papers from the Wellington range. I then positioned them overlappiing on an A5 landscape card. I mounted a topper using 3D foam pads and added a sentiment in the same way. I finished with a ribbon on the top left of the card.

Hi to everyone. So here I am with my girls (20/16)babysitting for a 5yr old! How come a child can have sooooo much energy!! The only time he was 'quiet' was when he was having his sausage and beans. As a result of our little house guest crafting has to be put on hold. I may get to do some later fingers crossed.
I have added another few cards which I have made recently. Enjoy

Hi to you all
It's been a while since my last blog as I've not been too brilliant. But today I feel much better. I did a demo day on Saturday at Poynton it was very well attended, some ladies and gentlemen even stayed for several hours. One lady even came back after she'd had some lunch. She said I'd inspired her. It was lovely for her to say so. That is one of my aims when doing a demo day is to inspire people, to encourage trying different colours and textures, try different layouts and styles of cards. I really enjoyed myself and can't wait for the next one. Right I'm going to see if I can add some pics.

Craft Room

Well here I am sat in my craft room watching Judge Judy trying to get rid of my crafty block. I need to make some cards in prep for my demo on Saturday. I think I'll look through some mags and books to see if I can get the inspiration!! Watch this space. Have a good day ladies.

I'd just like to say thx to all my well wishes today for my birthday, 21yrs!!! (in my dreams!!) 45, thank goodness it's only a number. My mentality is 21 I think and my girls would def agree with this lol. Anyway thx again. Hope you all had a good day. Work was hectic and had a run in with an A&E consultant! lovely!! I will catch up more tom and hopefully manage to get all my card photos onto my blog. TTFN vodka continues to call my name and I think it's rude to ignore it's call.
